Hey there! My name is Dasun, and I’ve been an avid photographer ever since I got my first DSLR. I’ve never had a formal education on the subject, but I’ve always wanted to get out there and capture great photos.
I mainly learned my way around photography through the plethora of online resources. This includes YouTube tutorials, Flickr photos and comments, along with other amazing websites, all completely free!
With my experience this far in photography, I’ve become really eager to share my own knowledge and add to the awesome content out there. Multiple perspectives on how to capture photos have helped me grow tremendously.
The same goes with gear, as I’ve definitely become a better informed consumer. This is super important to get the most bang for your buck!
I remember how excited I was to get my first DSLR, a Canon EOS T2i (550D) back in 2010. This was the best entry level rebel series available at the time, sharing the sensor with a more professional Canon 7D.
I purchased the body alone for $799. Today, DSLR’s are available with double the functionality for almost half of the price! Photography has become a more accessible hobby than ever, and I hope to help other photographers take full advantage of this.
